This virtual reality experience reenacts selected dramatic actions from three incidents in 1964-1965 involving non-violent African American activists. In the experience the interactor plays the role of an African American activist to witness and confront violent behaviors from segregationists. The interactor is required to behave non-violently by avoiding any physical contact with other characters when facing aggressive actions, and holding non-violent gestures at all times. Failing to do so will end the experience. My role in this project was to ideate the overall user experience with three other teammates, create storyboards, build 3D models for the VR environment and conduct user testing.
